ITANAGAR: In yet another helicopter crash was reported from the Northeast Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh and two flying officers are said to be missing.

According to reports from the state, a Cheetah helicopter belonging to the Indian Army went down in the hills of Arunachal Pradesh. The incident reportedly took place near Mandala in the West of Bomdila town in Arunachal Pradesh. The chopper was on an operational sortie when it lost control with the Air Traffic Control. And a search and rescue operation is on for the two pilots onboard the ill-fated helicopter.

Lt Col Mahendra Rawat, a Public Relations Official for the defence ministry of the country mentioned, “An Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter flying an operational sortie near Bomdila, Arunachal Pradesh was reported to have lost contact with the ATC at around 9:15 am today. It is reported to have crashed near Mandala, West of Bomdila. Search parties have been launched.”
